There is a debate going on at the moment over just how much state propaganda is being promulgated in the press and on TV.

It is true that the press have always favoured the incumbent political party and progressed their policies, partly to remain in favour to get the best stories, but this example in the Telegraph is just piss poor reporting as well.

Poor insulation led to drugs raid on Police Officer's home is the headline in the Telegraph, with a by-line of:
The drugs squad raided a fellow police officer's home because they believed heat pulsating through her poorly insulated roof indicated it was a secret cannabis factory..

Now lets get one thing very clear. This woman (Zally Huseyin) is a PCSO.  Such a person is NOT a police officer, they are civvies in wolves clothing pretending to be police officers, very often leading beyond authority and assuming powers that they are not entitled to assume.

But, as we now know, the government have been trying to big up PCSO's, with the revelation that Ofcom are investigating Home Office sponsorship of a 'documentary' about their activities to show them in a good light.

In total, eight documentaries have been funded by the Government, spending upwards of £2m of taxpayers money. The
PCSO documentary has proved particularly controversial because it deals
with a policy that the Government has had to defend against claims that
it is low-level policing done on the cheap.

As Dizzy says only too well in his assessment of the Ofcom investigation:

Now some might say that PSCOs are good, and that the documentaries were
of value. However, there is a world of difference between a documentary
made by a commercial outfit, and one that is essentially made by the
Government to promote their policies and simultaneously fails to
declare that they are involved. There is only one name for that,
propaganda.

With regard to the rest of the Telegraph article, one really must ask the question if this is about intelligence led policing, where exactly is the intelligence in what they did, where is the due process, investigation and procedure used before raiding the house.

Then we get to the state of the house itself. In the middle of summer, why was so much heat being generated from this house. Did this woman keep her heating on full blast all year, if so I can understand her gas bill being £1000 per year, if not, where was all this heat coming from, unless she regularly had a phosperous driven full fire indoor bar-b-que to feed her 5 children.

If so much heat is being lost to the atmosphere, the house only being 18 months old, and the building company denying that the insulation was poor and met all building and environmental standards, then we have to assume that the standards in place are a load of cobblers. So much for modern homes.

So why are the Government putting this big push into the world of PCSO's, ramping up the level of propaganda being employed. To me its abundantly clear.

REAL police officers swear allegiance to the Crown, whereas PCSO's only have allegiance to the Home Office, and are the political police of the future along with the SOCA, who also only have allegiance to the Home Office. (A sworn police officer who wishes to join SOCA must resign his post and renounce his crown oath before joining).

For the Home Office, this underhand strategy has 2 benefits. Firstly they are buying votes from creating jobs dependent on the Government, secondly, they now have 2 organisations, headed by politically motivated and aligned personnel that can be used outside of the Judicial system at both a national and local level, essential and historically proven in all dictatorial regimes.

Beware the PCSO, for all is not as it seems. For the time being they may well be reasonably benign, but as we know from experience with this government, scope creep is always part of the policy.
