Fine words. What about deeds?
A small number of Iraqis - fewer than a dozen, according to people close to the operation who are in contact with me- were removed from Iraq in the early autumn of 2007. Since the Prime Minister's admirable declaration of October, how many Iraqi ex-employees have been evacuated from Iraq? According to all the Iraqis that I am in contact with: none. more »

Those who have been following the course of New Labour's steady destruction of traditional British liberties will notice a very simple pattern emerging. First, the government removes the rights of those who many would consider undesirables—Muslim "terrorists", drug-dealers, prostitutes, and the like—and then gradually the rights are removed from the rest of us. Often, poorly-drafted legislation is blamed; "this was an unintended consequence," the government claim, "But we'll fix it. Just vote us in again."
And now we see the whole thing happening again with this appalling proposal.... more »

Michael Martin, the House of Commons Speaker, faced a fresh storm over his expenses last night after it emerged that he used air miles earned on official business to fly relatives from Glasgow to London over new year. Ministers are banned from using air miles accrued on official trips, and are expected to put them towards reducing the cost of future ministerial travel or donate them to charity. more »

This link will take you to Max Amann's speech at the 1936 Nuremberg Rally. Amann was one of Hitler's oldest friends, and controlled the Nazi Party's publishing system. This link will take you to England Expects Be afraid, be very afraid and to Hell with Godwins Law, its been used far too often as a pathetic excuse to close debate on what is really going on in the UK and Europe. Dead countries almost always give birth to dictatorships. Remember that old one about for evil to prosper, all that's needed is for good men to do nothing?
When it comes to voting, most good men (OK, and women... yada yada) under 35 are doing nothing. They know of no reason to vote. They see politics and politicians as nothing to do with them. more »

With the would-be energy and pace of the American series 24, The Last Enemy is a cautionary tale about where such a technology-driven society might lead. It tells the story of Stephen Ezard (Benedict Cumberbatch), a brilliant but reclusive mathematician who has obsessive-compulsive disorder. He returns to Britain after several years when his brother (Max Beesley) is killed, and finds that it is an ID-demanding, card-swiping, body-searching nation where surveillance is omnipresent. more »

Have you noticed, like the delegates at conference this past week that nothing works. The Health Service, The Police, The Judiciary, Rubbish collection, local authorities, education, the welfare system, you name it, it isn’t working properly.
After 10 years of NuLab meddling, you have to want to understand why, you need an explanation. more »

Following on from yesterday's court case against Gordon Brown for breach of contract over the Labour Manifesto and its promise to provide a referendum on the Constitutional Treaty, DK has been doing some digging into various laws that may apply to the statement given in defence: that "manifesto pledges are not subject to legitimate expectation" and therefore cannot be relied upon in a court of law. more »

How does a political party attract new voters, especially those young voters who are just about turning 18, and thinking of participating in politics for the first time in their lives.
When we think of the more than 10 years of NuLabour government indoctrination and propaganda that these young people have endured, knowing little else of the world around them other than what school teachers and junk TV has taught them, and the likelihood that their Parents will have never discussed with them the fine detail of politics, it becomes a daunting task to convince young people that there is a free world out there, a world free of politics, free of indoctrination. Its just waiting for them to pick it up. more »

There is some serious engineering work going on in Westminster, events engineering that is or to give it its more popular name Smoke and Mirrors.
The Government are going to trick you into believing that it has a moral compass over the amount of party funding and sleaze that is going on, and that state funding of political parties is the only way to stop it.
Article 191 of the Nice Treaty provides provisions for EU state funding for political parties, but only those who have European presence. more »

Nepotism is the showing of favouritism toward relatives, based upon that relationship, rather than on an objective evaluation of ability or suitability. For instance, offering employment to a relative, despite the fact that there are others who are better qualified and willing to perform the job, would be considered nepotism. The word nepotism is from the Latin word 'nepos', meaning "nephew" or "grandchild". more »

The UK police are now fighting for their very existence as an independent force who swear allegiance to the Crown.
We have written many times that this government is slowly removing all vestiges of Crown allegiance across all sectors of Government and creating Agencies that only have loyalty to their political masters. In this case the government's long term plan, enacted over the past 10 years to create a political police force in the UK. more »
