The delightful Kerry McCarthy MP has received her copy of 1984, after flying back from ensuring the 'chosen one' was elected in the States.

Now quite what a British MP was doing campaigning in the US to elect a president for a
foreign government rather than the job she is paid to do at Westminster
is beyond reason. British politicians should keep their noses out of
other countries internal affairs, but then we are used to Labour MP's
sticking their noses into everything.

Whilst the rest of us worry about the imposition of ID cards, CCTV
cameras on everycorner, being hassled by pretend Policemen, spycams in
our wheelie bins, taking our fingerprints in Tesco's – Kerry believes that all of this can
be justified as trying to stop five businessmen in a BMW paying £20 for a
prostitute in Easton, Bristol- Huh

For this professional politician, coming via the closed shop of the
legal profession, her 'week ahead' looks better than working for a
living.

For her the burning issue of the week is whether the BBC should move the filming of Casuality from Bristol to Cardiff ! FFS

Her refusal to address the growing surveillance State displays
either moral and intellectual bankruptcy, or the groupthink of NuLabour
does not allow this to be an 'ishoo' at all. And she does have her
fairyland, all expenses paid lifestyle to protect.

Didn't actually get any sleep last
night, as flight got in at 6am and I can't sleep on planes. But still
stayed up for Glenrothes – great result. Higher Labour vote than in
2005, and a 6,737 majority. Can't remember when we last had a majority
that size in a by-election. “As remarkable a victory for Labour as
Glasgow East was for SNP” says the bloke on the telly. “A seriously
good result for the Labour Party” says the other one.

As for Glenrothes, Hmmm, this was in a town where
30% of the population are 'economically inactive' and 35% work directly
for the State. For a place that is so dependant on the State for its existence, The SNP still increased its share of the Vote, and Labour's
majority dropped by three thousand. Hardly seriously good in a safe seat.

There was an almost total news blackout on the reporting of this by
election, with Labour's election planners hoping that defeat would be hidden under the hype of an Obama win in the US, right up to until the bizarre looking new MP won the seat,
speaking in a a stilted pre prepared way, that it was the divine
inspiration of the the great Helmsman that' had won it ' for Labour. So
not another free thinking MP, but another member of the lobby fodder.

Kerry McCarthy is another politican who proves that she just doesn't get it. So, if you want to comment on Kerry McCarthy's apparent lack of understanding as to why she has received a copy of 1984, you can view her site here. Let her know how you feel about this Authoritarian Labour government.
