As we ponder the possibilities of being thrust into another General Election, the mainstream parties all seem to be spouting the same basic policies, the same answers and the same gravy train, the one rushing to take us to the great Authoritarian Empire known as Europe.

When we study closely the policies of the 3 main parties, irrespective of what we hear from individuals at conference, we see that the primary concerns of these parties is, Terror, Security, Health, Education, Economy, Policing, Environment and Immigration.

Listen to any mainstream politician, the answers are all the same, or as near as damn it. More regulation, more taxation, more control. Ever bigger government to oversee and supervise every aspect of our lives, backed up by billions of pounds worth of technology and an army of snotty nosed local officials who want to ban everything, criminalise everyone, charge for everything and tax everything they can get away with.

The people have been forgotten. We are in the way, we are a nuisance, clearly evident in the debate over the EU Constitutional Treaty. The people are just the milch cow for more and more taxation.

These policies are right in as much as its what the people want discussing, but the answers are wrong.
We don't want bigger government, we don't want more intrusive government, we don't want government control over everything.

So when we consider who to vote for in any new election, think carefully, because it may be the last election this country ever sees.

The choices are no longer between Tories and Labour, perhaps with a protest vote for the LibDems, because they have all melded into a mirror image of each other.

Are you not sick of being told how you can live, what you can eat, what you can watch, what you can say and be ignored when you want to respond. That is Authoritarianism.

It has now become a straight forward fight, a fight between bigger and more authoritarian government, or government being put back in its place whereby they work for the people, where they govern over things that matter at a high level such as defence, the economy and a national health service, but in every other way butt out of our lives.

We only have 2 clear choices in politics today, between being governed or being ruled, which means:

Authoritarianism or Libertarianism.

Virtually all other political talk is a diversion, smoke and mirrors to hide the real politics.

Don't understand the difference?
For Authoritarian values see 2010, or see the values of the Libertarian in a nice video format

THE REAL CLASH IS NOW BETWEEN THE AUTHORITARIAN AND THE LIBERTARIAN

Perhaps we could start with a new Bill of Rights, framed along Libertarian lines.

Watch out for news of the new Libertarian Party.

Slow on the uptake I know but it appears that the bloated Uzbek plutocrat
who is gobbling up Arsenal doesn't take kindly to people being rude about him on
the web.

Alisher Usmanov
has been getting his lawyers, Schillings to threaten servers with
action due to a couple of posts by Tim Ireland and Craig Murray. The fact that I
am in no way a fan of either man and therir burbklings is neither here nor
there. This is a serious abuse of the internet and should have everybody
worried.

As Mr
E
points out,

But that's far from the point. If you can be silenced for calling
a businessman a crook, then you can be silenced for calling a politician a
crook, too. Then it's everyone's problem.

The offending articles have, for the time being been relocated to here and here.

UPDATE: This from SpyBlog

It was particularly stupid of Schillings to try to censor political
blogging pioneer and online campaigner Tim Ireland, who has probably
forgotten more about the internet campaigning and things like Search
Engine Optimisation etc. than Schillings have ever known. No doubt Bloggerheads will soon re-appear online and will excoriate Schillings and their shady client.

Instead of a couple of obscure postings on Craig Murray's blog,
Schillings have now vastly increased the number of people who are
asking questions about the criminal past of their rich Uzbek client,
and his attempts to control Arsenal football club., and his corrupt
relationships with Islam Karimov the brutal dictator of Uzbekistan and with Putin's regime in Moscow.

Questions
should also now be asked about the other business associates of Alisher
Usmanov here in the UK, such as those involved in the Red and White
Holdings Limited company which is being used as the investment vehicle
to try to control Arsenal plc.

Hopefully the Serious Organised Crime Agency
will be taking an interest in the true sources of the money behind Red
and White Holdings Limited and will investigate. Alisher Usmanov and
his business partners such as David Dein
(who sold his block of Aresnal shares and is acting as chairman of Red
& White), the other Iranian born investor in Red & White,
former Deloitte accountant Farhad Moshiri and the firm of Field Fischer Waterhouse who have “advised” on the original deal.

From Mark Mardell's Euro blog, a comment that needs to be read.

Mandy Warmerdam wrote:
Now
that the decision has been made, I feel I must speak up for the sake of
democracy.I am a citizen of the Netherlands, and a proud 'Nee'-voter. I
did not believe in the EU Constitution, and as soon as word of this new
treaty reared its ugly head I knew it would be little different of its
predecessor.

Even with the final text still largely
shrouded in mystery, it has become clear that this treaty is indeed
largely the same as its rejected parent. To freshen the memory, for
those who have forgotten: At a turnout of 62,8%, a rough 62% of the
voters said 'No'.

This was a nation's vote
of no-confidence, and there was absolutely no doubt that our nation did
not want this constitution or anything to do with it, and so even Prime
Minister Balkenende
was forced to admit this on national television, in a state that seemed
almost near tears. His words were: “The Dutch people have spoken
tonight. It is a clear result. Naturally I am very disappointed. The
voters have given a clear signal that cannot be misunderstood. We must
do everything we can to involve citizens in the Europe of the future.
The cabinet will engage itself in that.”

It is two years later, and Balkenende
is still (or rather, once again) our Prime Minister. He, his party, and
his cabinet seem to have conveniently forgotten about this statement.
As a result, I am forced to consider him a liar.Worse yet, I consider
him a conniving, backstabbing liar. The cabinet was well-aware that the
chances of the people voicing a mass 'Nee' in a second referendum are
undeniably huge.

This man is clearly not a
man of his word, and not worthy of any trust. If such a man is at the
head of our government, then the conclusion must be, tragic as it is,
that the Dutch people can no longer trust their government.

The
words must seem awfully strong and passionate, but the government seems
to have forgotten the meaning of the word 'democracy'; a nation
governed according to the will of its people. In fact, it is starting
to reek of dictatorship, and I find the odour particularly unpleasant.

All
is not yet lost, as the lower house still has a say in the matter and
there are many supporters of 'Nee' present. They might still be able to
get a referendum through, and in that I put my hope.

In conclusion, I can only add that Prime Minister Balkenende
deserves nothing save my, and the Dutch nation's, heartfelt contempt.
He and his cabinet have disregarded the will of their people, the fact
that they are supposed to represent a democracy, and in certain cases
have gone so far as to break their word. I fear I must speak my
personal vote of no-confidence and call this treason, and I think it is
time for Balkenende and his cabinet to step down.

We
all need to publish other EU countries “Peoples” comments just to
remind ourselves that we are not alone in our belief that all
politicians are treating us all (EU wide) with contempt!
