Why are the LibDems still playing for a bit part in government. Are they so unsure of their abilities that they still consider themselves unable to govern. Why are they setting the conditions on Gordon Brown to change, with the caveat that they then might consider going into partnership with a Lib/Lab pact.

This government is obsessed with collecting every piece of information about you. Through a myriad of laws and schemes it wants to know everything about your life, your home, possessions, money, entitlements, pensions etc etc.
It tells us in so many ways how safe this information will be with government, how it will provide protection from identity thieves.
It is now passing a new law – specifically designed TO GIVE THAT INFORMATION AWAY. more »

Its all about presentation, nothing to do with health care. NuLab have pumped more money into the NHS than any other government, and have spent that money on destroying it as an effective delivery point of Health Care.

The big IT consultancies are ripping off British taxpayers through over inflated PFI contracts, we have a Treasury under the guidance of Gordon Brown that has borrowed over £100 billion more than it promised, government debt is at a staggering £1.34 trillion, three times the Chancellor’s official figures, by taking into account the PFI, the public-sector pension deficit and Network Rail debts, while the Big Four Accountancy firms are potentially advising the PFI firms to stash all that taxpayer revenue in tax havens. more »
