The Attorney General, Lord
Goldsmith, has used a gagging order against former MI6 agent, Richard
Tomlinson, to stop him from giving evidence by video link to the Diana inquest.

It is the second time in
the past ten days Lord Goldsmith has become involved in a gagging order
controversy.

Like his attempt to silence
the
BBC over its report on the
cash-for-honours scandal, the order against Tomlinson is also surrounded by
secrecy.

A surprised senior lawyer
at the French bar, maitre Clotele Normand, who is acting for the government to
enforce the gagging order because Tomlinson now lives near Nice, said:

“I am astonished you
have learned of this. I am not authorised to answer your questions on the
matter. I cannot discuss how English law can be enforced in
France against Mr Tomlinson. My
instructions are that nothing can be publicly said on this matter”, said
the lawyer in
Paris.

Patel’s
excellent and historically very well informed blog, could be seen as
Israel preparing to launch a strike against Iran, or it may just be Israel’s security services showing some caution.

Israel's
National Security Council Counter-Terrorism Division
has issued updated travel warnings for
Israelis travelling abroad.

1. It is advised that travellers should
avoid visiting and leave the area as soon as
possible in the following high to very high-threat countries
:
Algeria, Afghanistan, Chechnya, (southern Russia) Djibouti, Egypt, (especially
the Sinai peninsula), Jordan, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Kashmir (northern India),
Lebanon Malaysia, Mindanao, (southern Philippines) Northern Nigeria, Pakistan,
Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Southern Thailand, Syria & Yemen.

2. Travellers should postpone
non-essential travel to: Bangladesh, Bangkok, Libya, Oman, Nigeria & south-eastern Turkey (borders with Iraq and Iran).

3. Travellers in general, should avoid
visiting the following countries: Bahrain, Chad, Kenya, Kuwait, Morocco, Qatar, Tunisia.

4. Israeli citizens are called upon to be
especially cautious when visiting: Philippines, Turkey, Thailand, & Uzbekistan. (Sources: National Security Council
Counter-Terrorism Division, GPO).”

Of no possible importance is public unveiling of the new
Israeli made “Heron” Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) . This advanced new model
can fly for 2 days at 30,000, night / daytime in all weathers carrying a 250KG
payload (older version 100Kg)

This, the 2nd largest UAV ever made has the most
sophisticated intelligence-gathering equipment on the aircraft to provide
better umanned capabilities in target location and carrying out surveillance.
Satellite communication systems allow usage in long range operations as far
away as
Iran.

Meanwhile the Israeli EROS B satellite
launched in May 2006
is providing
excellent heliosynchronous images (i.e images – up to 380 miles wide – are
always taken in sunlight)

This story in the
Daily
Telegraph
today

High street banks
have been dumping customer details in bins outside their branches, it was
revealed yesterday.

The Information
Commissioner's Office (ICO) said 13 firms “carelessly” threw away
customer information.

The ICO ordered
the firms to sign a formal undertaking to comply with the Data Protection Act
and warned failure to abide by it could lead to possible prosecution. ICO
deputy commissioner David Smith said: “It is unacceptable for banks and
other organisations to carelessly discard their customers' information.

The banks and
firms who have been censured are:

HBOS,

Alliance & Leicester,

Royal Bank of
Scotland,

Scarborough Building Society,

Clydesdale Bank,

NatWest,

United
National Bank,

Barclays Bank,

Co-operative Bank,

HFC Bank,

Nationwide Building
Society,

The Post Office,

The Immigration Advisory Service.

Why have the ICO
not prosecuted these firms, why are the ICO not protecting your data. This is not the first time Banks have discarded customer data in this way.

These are the companies that will have access to all
your ID card information.

These are the companies that are not interested in protecting your data, it is obviously
too much trouble.

They, like the
government, want to control you with ID cards, make YOU comply with the rules
and take more of your money.

Say NO to ID
cards, Say NO to the Database state.
