Mr Brown, good to
see you safely returned from your trip to India, where I’m pleased that you
felt it necessary to remind the Indian government how good you have been to
them by issuing 375,000 UK IT work permits per year for the past 5 years to Indians,
so I felt it only just that I should remind you, that as a Minister, you are a
public servant and as such answerable to the British people, and that the laws
of this land as written by Government, are applicable to citizen and government
alike.
- if you or your government sell
Peerages for loans or donations, that’s fraud.
- if you or your government waste
taxpayer money on failed IT schemes and then hide it, that’s fraud.
- if you or your government destroy
British IT workers with legislation (IR35) and then import cheap foreign
labour to fill those jobs, that’s fraud.
- If you penalise the weakest in
society, yet allow the richest to escape (HMRC estimate nearly 50bn in
uncollected tax from rich and overseas residents) – that’s fraud.
- If you skim pensions plans then let
those plans collapse without compensation, that’s fraud.
- If DWP are wasting £167 million each
year due to ‘error and mistakes’ in the Benefits system, and its not fit
for purpose, that’s fraud.
- NPfIT
- £40bn of wasted tax money on a programme that will never work – that’s
fraud.
- 200 meetings of the Smith Institute at No.11 for free, if I could find a venue to do that for me, the tax office would consider it to be a payment in kind, and apply tax to it, so we consider possibly – fraud.
- Imposing new airline taxes before parliamentary approval - thats fraud.
Fraud is Fraud, fraud is theft.
No ifs, No buts
If you break the Law, you risk facing an interview
under caution, and even a criminal record.
And remember,
following an arrest, using the powers granted to the police for search and
seizure, I am sure that much more would come to light.
You wouldn’t take
any of the above from British business or individuals, so we should not take it
from Government. Its time to start using
this governments laws properly, on government.
