The Cabinet
Office put out a press release today, entitled ‘Government calls for 'shared
responsibility' for ensuring regulation works for everyone’
In my first
reading of this, I thought yeah, maybe, some power back to the people, but then
it hit me, its another smoke and mirrors exercise.
For a government that
fails consistently to take responsibility for any of its own actions, this plan
can only be seen as passing the buck, in a move that ultimately says;
we will keep the
authority, but push the responsibility out to the citizens, so we can blame the
people when things go wrong.
It’s the ultimate
move in Blame culture.
Couple this with
Peoples Panels (local soviets), and we have another cog in the big authoritarian
machine in place.
