Mr Cameron,

This nation is in crisis.  It has been so since 9/11, when the reactionaries in Government began their push for regulations to ‘secure this country from terrorism’ and began to enact the most overreaching laws this nation has ever seen.

Act after Act has been passed with the minimum of resistance which on the face of each individual act may just pass for security measures, but collectively these laws now place the British Public in an Orwellian limbo land.

The government on the other hand has been trying to become more secretive and less and less accountable, including 1 private members bill to amend the Freedom of Information Act, from your own MP David Maclean, which will remove our right to know much of what happens in parliament and the correspondence of MP’s to public bodies.

The government refuses to hold public enquiries into the events of 7/7, which many voters now believe to be an orchestrated event rather than a terrorist one.  The sole purpose of that orchestration being the driver to push through even more draconian laws.

The terror threat?.  We don’t believe that there is one, we believe that the Government is making one.

This Nation now needs a leader.  A leader that can bring us back from the brink.

I see and hear the mainstream pundits and the press still concentrating on things that will embarrass individual ministers, the interest rate and whether Gordon will be marginalised by an English assembly, and pass this off as News.  If you read the questions that have been posed to you by ordinary people on the BBC have your say site, you will see that their concerns are very very different.

Yesterday I published a story of an imaginary man who falls into the quagmire of stupidity that are the new laws.   This is not set in the future, because these laws are here now, and down on the ground where us little people live, this happens today.

In order to meet targets, police forces will find the easiest route, these new laws give them so many easy routes.  But I do believe that there is something darker and more menacing for our future.  We look at the new rules being enacted in the US.  They are almost identical. They are being driven by a paranoia not seen in the USA since the early days of the cold war and the McCarthy witch hunts, and the people there are frightened also.

We don’t need a leader who is nice, we need someone who is STRONG.

WE NEED A LEADER  that can LEAD.  Someone who can bang his fist on the dispatch box and scream enough is enough, someone who will fight for the people of this land, and their rights that have been stripped away.   Are you big enough for that job?  Are you strong enough to take us back to a pre 9/11 Britain.?

When people next get the chance to vote, they wont be voting for NHS reforms, or Education, they will be voting for their freedom, and if that is not on your agenda, you wont get the votes.

On 17th Jan, you will be on the BBC to answer the questions put to you by the public.

I suggest that if you have not already done so, you need to read those questions as they appear on the BBC web site, not prettied up for the programme, and understand the genuine fears of the people and address them.

For those people who have not yet raised a question, the BBC website to put your questions is here

The Tory leader will be answering your questions on 17 January 2007 on BBC News 24 and News Online.
