Not content with the Minister for
Constitutional Affairs trying to slip a quick one in with his Statutory Instrument
due for release over the Easter break that limits FOI requests on the grounds
of cost, TORY MP David Maclean wants to hide EVERYTHING by raising a private
members bill.
The following private members bill will
have its 2nd
reading in the HoC on the 19th January.
Freedom of Information (amendment)
David Maclean presented a Bill to amend the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to
exempt from its provisions the House of Commons and House of Lords and
correspondence between Members of Parliament and public authorities: And the
same was read the First time; and ordered to be read a Second time on Friday 19
January, and to be printed. [Bill 39]
Never again will you be able to find out what any MP, Minister, Chanceller etc etc has done or said.
No longer answerable to the people.
Cameron, do you expect us to trust you with our votes now.? 'nothing to hide?, nothing to fear?'
In a free society, the rights and laws
protect the individual from the government.
In a dictatorship, the rights and laws
protect the government from the people.
